Not only do I have lived experience as a queer person, but with my extensive knowledge of more things queer, I can help you if your story has multiple lgbtq+ characters with different identities. If you have a main character who is trans or a queer woman, then you might be better looking for someone with that specific lived experience, but anything queer male or non-binary, read on.

My rate is £0.005/word for a manuscript. £1.50/page for a screenplay. With me you will get notes throughout your manuscript about what I think is working very well, what needs attention, and what isn't authentic, these notes will also highlight places you can add more texture and nuance based on my lived experience, and vast lgbtq+ knowledge.

You will also get a seperate document with global feedback about all the queer characters, and their part in the plot. Plus, as a writer myself, my sensitivity reading does have some crossover with beta reading and critiqueing too. I fully understand that sometimes, because of the type of story or plot, that certain tropes/cliches/stereotypes happen.

My reads usually take around 2 weeks. I will read your manuscript and make notes as I read, plus it takes time to consider my more global notes, after I've finished the full story. I read about 250 words/minute which is about 15k words an hour. That is JUST to read the story. My time that you pay for also includes me stopping to consider every queer aspect, and give you my notes on it.
